Artists or performers do not stop thinking, working and being creative when they approach retirement age. They simply do not retire, the urge to keep creating is too strong.

The Kurt Defrancq Huis offers them a living and working environment, among like-minded people. Residents can live there completely independently or use the services, support and care offered by the Huis. It is a unique mix of housing, a care story, coupled with a cultural interpretation. However, the Kurt Defrancq Huis also has a social role: it aims to be an intergenerational meeting place for young and older talents and also involve local social club life. 

Connecting and continuing to create, with the necessary care and support, that is the goal of the Kurt Defrancq Huis.
